how to serve water?

Nosotros are getting married at a state park. My momma raised me to never host a political party without offer ice h2o as a drink. We are having a dessert reception with coffee and punch, cake, cheesecake and cookies.

There is no running water on site, just trying hard not to be "rustic". Would it be better to buy small bottles of water (and peradventure cover up labels with cute duct tape) or use larger beverage dispensers (that I'd have to rent or buy) and use cups?

Thinking about transporting, cost, garbage generated, and properly serving guests...what do you call back?

We are doing bottled water in large metallic basins with ice inside to go along it cold. Our caterer provides nothing just food and potable - so if we wanted pitchers we would need to provide them. I really dislike h2o pitchers left on tables so if people want a water, they can take hold of a bottle. Nosotros cannot have drinking glass in the park where we are getting married so this also fueled our decision.

Bottled water is easiest. I also really like these as an option (several at each table)

We are having a "rustic chichi" nuptials. We purchased plastic drinkable tubs from WalMart, one of which we are using for bottled water. Nosotros are going to spray paint it with metallic greyness paint to make it look similar metal. I institute the thought on Pinterest. Smiley winking

My sister got married recently and had bottles of h2o. I noticed a lot of half full bottles laying effectually at the end of the nighttime, and it did cause a lot of actress recycling to be cleaned up. You could go 1 of those drink dispensers and resell it subsequently the wedding. They sell milk cartons with h2o at the grocery store that you could use to fill up it. As long as you have someone watching it to refill information technology, it might be a trivial easier. I call back we are going to go with refilling the drink dispenser and then have a example or ii of bottled water if we run out.

Bottled water is fine, and I wouldn't worry most it being besides breezy. If y'all're getting married in a park, fifty-fifty if you lot're non going at all for the rustic look, at that place will still be a chip of the out-doorsy feel. I personally e'er appreciate it when h2o is offered at events, and so proficient on yous for thinking of your guests! Smiley smile

Ex-squeeze-me, but in that location'due south nothing wrong with RUSTIC. Smiley winking

Y'all could do what my MIL did and detect these customized/monogrammed water bottle labels that had our name and wedding date on them, and but go along them in coolers or a pale, etc.

Those drink dispensers are super cute too and you could e'er put h2o in a couple and then put perchance a pink lemonade or something in the other to add a piddling color.

I like the idea of a dispenser. You could buy water by the gallon alee of time and have it handy to refill the dispenser. Less plastic waste and y'all tin add together frozen fruit to class information technology up a flake. The dispensers are pretty cheap at walmart or bed bathroom and beyond (with coupons). I accept one of these and accept used it lots over the years for different parties and get-togethers. Useful for large batches of lemonade, juice, flavored h2o, etc and much less expensive than purchasing individual servings.

Lol @rusticbride...NOTHING wrong with it, only not what we're doingSmiley smile

Thanks for all the input! I'm thinking nosotros might do some of each...like a dispenser & cups near the punch, since there will be cups at that place anyway, for "cocktail hr" and then likewise have bottled water (nosotros'll get littler ones) in tubs. Even though doing both might not seem more simple, information technology seems similar it would be best that fashion....

I'yard going to skip the personalized labels/fancy duct tape...gotta proceed reminding myself...SIMPLE is my "theme" Smiley smile

I feel like both options are skillful ones but bottled water is probably the cheaper and easier route. Y'all could become cases of them and either have them in cute bins or just normal coolers depending on the look you desire. I don't call back covering the characterization is necessary merely if you are looking for a beautiful bear on I'm sure y'all could get some with your name on them. In the stop though when the bottles are done they are being thrown away so it isn't really worth your fourth dimension.
